An attractive and uncommon blue capped tourmaline, from Paprock Kunar, Afghanistan. The bottom section of this tourmaline crystal has a light coating of blue chalcedony, with some white albite at one side towards the rear. Blue capped tourmalines are quite desirable, I think the chalcedony also adds a nice aspect. The tourmaline color below the blue cap is an attractive pink, as you go further down the crystal it has a yellow center. Ex Ed Richards.
