This is a beautiful azurite sun from the renowned Malbunka Copper Mine. This is a solid piece of Azurite in striking electric blue. Long ago, hydrothermal waters carrying copper ions were deposited within the layers of kaolinite to create these fascinating disk shapes, azurie sun’s. These are incredible crystal formations out of the Malbunka Mine, and they are completely natural! There are a few remnants of the snow white kaolinite still attached, to the specimen. This specimen is a bit unusual it that it shows fine crystals faces, up to 10mm long in some areas, hopefully this is seen better in the third pic. Visible crystal faces this large are not that common.
