For sale is an azurite with malachite from Tsumeb, Namibia. An attractive azurite specimen, featuring a cluster of crystals, with a smallish amount of malachite replacement, all in pristine condition. A fine example of this style representing the first oxidation zone at Tsumeb , mined before 1920. This piece came from the collection of Professor John Lavranos, a giant in the field of botany. He spent a long time traveling in Namiba, over decades. John Lavranos, also had a fine personal mineral collection, and was an extremely knowable. This specimen was given to his good friend John Rawlings of Perth, who he introduced to our hobby.
