For sale is a classic atacamite group of crystals from the famous New Cornwall mine, S.Aust. The amazing atacamites came out of this mine between 1862 and 1878. So this is a pretty old piece. There is still some remnants of the tenacious cream/white clay associated. Featuring lustrous crystals with sharp form with translucent bright green tips, there are ever a few small gemmy crystals. Today specimens from this historic location are very hard to come by. The specimen has a uniform color thru out, being a eye pleasing, emerald green, not too dark! If anybody would like to find more info about this find and the mine it came from, the Mineralogical Record, published a many paged article a couple of years ago.
