ANGLESITE ON CERUSSITE – BROKEN HILL

$128.00

For sale is a anglesite pseudomorph cerussite from Broken Hill.  A very fine, old-time showy specimen from Broken Hill’s major era of mining, probably the early 1900s. This is a gorgeous, sparkling pseudomorph of drusy, pearlescent anglesite crystals which replaced a group of arrowhead and reticulated cerussite crystals.  Please note this is a very sturdy specimen. Pieces such as this were found in the old, upper oxidized zone of this  mine. The specimen sits on a naturally flat base, and there is a small area of what appears to be kaolin on one face, the base has a few small garnet crystals as well as a very small amount of galena.
