For sale is a specimen of anglesite/cerussite, from Broken Hill. I have always had a problem with the definition if these classic specimen. For example on one hand the Australian Museum, describes a very similar specimen they have as. ANGLESITE ON CERUSSITE, yet another similar specimen on Rob Lavinskys , IRocks.com, describes them as ANGLESITE PSEUDOMORPH AFTER CERUSSITE. Most often these specimens are described this way. The uniform fluorescence thou out the piece, does lend evidence to the pseudomorph argument. I find it best to just say anglesite/cerussite. This attractive specimen features classic cerussite form covered with fine and reasonable uncommon, clear to faintly yellow anglesite crystals to 6 to 7 mm. Very fine specimen, please compare our price to similar available, thou I have to say, very very few of these specimen have anglesite crystals to this size.
