For sale is an exquisite specimen of melanite garnet with epidote from Mali, Africa. Excellent terminated epidote crystals, highlight jet black melanite garnet, with just the correct amount of balance to the piece. Please note SIZE of specimen. Ex Demetrius Phol collection, (with label) ex Paul Melville collection. The crystals exhibit a wonderful luster with the crystals having well faceted distinct faces. In my opinion this is one of the finest specimen I have seen from Mali, also an uncommon combo piece. Just fascinating! This is way way finer in person!!
