For sale is a top example of fine Australian amethyst from Victoria River Downs station in the N.T. Firstly I have to note that this piece is way way better in person. The pics indicate some white spots on the crystals surfaces, this is actually light reflecting, from some small pits on the crystal faces, where small hematite crystals used to sit. The luster on this specimen is very good, and the fine even color saturation (not to dark, not too light), add up to an amethyst that is very hard to come by from Australia. The last pic show the fully terminated crystals on the side of the specimen, this appears to have been at the end of a amethyst spray, with only a small amount of contact one face. Very nice.
