Largest XLS measures 48 x 36 x31 mm
Crystals this size are rare and an added bonus is, that the smaller front crystal is quite gemmy.

RUTILE IN SMOKY QUARTZ
Details:
Good rutile in quartz specimens from Australia are not common, and when found usually have rutile that is so fine that its difficult to see. Well here is a excellent smoky quartz crystal with fine rutile hair, that is very visible, in an unusually large crystal. There is a complex tabular quartz crystal, with no rutile inclusions on the side of the main crystal.

SCORODITE ON QUARTZ
NEW DISCOVERY
Details: This is the best of the very few pieces that came out of this new discovery ,a Wolfram camp mine, in Febuary this year. (2009) The well formed scorodite crystals are scattered on a sparkling quartz group.We obtained this from the miner at the recent MINSOC conference in Brisbane. Scorodite in Australa is quiet rare.
